While eRock is off checking out Montmartre Cemetery, I am home trying to sleep off this pending cold.  While I doze, here are just a few photos from the last week.

If that didnt load right, you can also see the photos here

the big sigh

Oh. My.

The wedding is over.  I mean, it is all OVER.  It was absolutley exactly what eRock and I wanted.  The whole day, actually, the whole weekend, was perfect.  Weather couldnt have been better.  The wedding went flawlessly and I think that everyone really enjoyed themselves.  We are now destressing and relaxin (read: walking hundreds of kilometers) and enjoying as much of Paris as we can.  If we can find the time, we’ll try and spice this up with some photos… check back soon.

helping hand

Amber, that East Coaster fakin’ it out West took time away from her working out her own wedding and busy schedule and decided to lend eRock and I a hand, whatwith crunch time fast approaching.

Thanks Ambercules, we’ll take it into consideration.

1(one) Vote

One of the side stories on Boston.com today:

 August 8, 2008
SNEEDVILLE, Tenn.-All it takes is one vote to win. Just ask a Tennessee woman who was elected constable by voting for herself.

Angela Tuttle, 32, said her father encouraged her to run as a write-in candidate because no one else was vying for one of the positions in Hancock County, which is in northeastern Tennessee.

Tuttle said her husband initially didn’t even realize she was running.

“I finally told him about a month before the election,” she told The Associated Press on Friday. Her husband didn’t think she would win, but now he “just grins at her,” she said.

Hancock County election officials said 131 voters of the 674 registered in the 3rd District voted Thursday. Tuttle’s vote was the only one cast in the constable race. She will be sworn in Dec. 1.

The certified nursing assistant and mother of a 10-year-old son will help serve warrants and patrol neighborhoods in her district. She said her father, a longtime constable who won his own re-election in another district, will “show her the ropes.”

Uh.  1 vote?  What about the husband who knew she was running for the position a month earlier?  Way to show marital support dude.  I am not takin notes* from this guy.

*note to eRock.  If you ever run for public office, you’ve got my vote.
